After the delivery of skip-hop workshops to more than 750,000 children and 25,000 adults, skip-hop have now developed the only REPS accredited skipping qualification for gyms in the UK. Coaches and Trainers from in and around the Stevenage area are therefore invited to attend the two-day training course and become qualified skip-hop instructors.

skip-hop Sports Skipping Level 2 is unique in the exercise and fitness industry.This two day course with 16 CPD points, is designed to equip Level 2 Fitness Instructors with all the skills required to incorporate skip-hop into their personal training regimes and group fitness classes at an introductory level, adding an invaluable dimension to their training repertoire. Disciplines covered range from individual speed to partner work, long rope skills and a prelude to double dutch and skipping to music. Candidates will also be trained on the most effective ways to use skip-hop on both a group and one to one basis. Qualified instructors receive a 16 week program on which to base their weekly sessions. Both sumative and formative assessment is carried out.

skip-hop have answered the call of vast numbers of gym users who wish to include speed and sports skipping in their exercise. On the 16th and 17th July 2011 instructors from any where in the UK are being given the chance to gain the knowledge, qualifications, resources and support to coach skip-hop.

skip-hop Sport Skipping Level 2 is endorsed by SkillsActive, the Sector Skills Council for Active Leisure and Well-being, has been approved by the Register for Exercise Professionals (REPS) and is therefore recognised as adhering to the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and meeting the requirements for Continuous Professional Development (CPD). skip-hop is listed as an Approved Training Provider on the REPS website.
